Publishing formats: The publishing formats we currently support are readable on a wide variety of platforms (and, in the case of personal computers, operating systems). We prefer non-proprietary formats with free tools for both creating and reading content. We do not (and don't expect to) support word processing file formats for a variety of reasons. Most commercial eReaders should be able to read one or more of our supported formats, but we want to be sure that anyone who can download content can also read it. The choice the supported formats provided is up to an individual author, but we strongly encourage authors to publish in at least two of the supported formats.
